Honing our craft and formulating our plans for the Summer is an arduous and cumbersome task. What did we enjoy most last year? Highlights were playing for those wild and crazy Spa City Swinger kids up in Balston Spa, playing at too many dance parties to remember, that great outdoor BBQ up in Troy where a large cache of old geezers surrounded us and cheered us on, first night in Saratoga (Oh what a night it twas), and various loud discussions about musical preferences with a bunch of old farts with PMS (I mean you, Chuck). Whadya mean by that? Well I guess I mean that I is ready for more of the same this year. Thank you sir may I have another!!

So it turns out that our former lovely singer (implying that our current singer is also lovely) has found a place in the clouds down in bee-you-tee-ful Savannah Georgia. Whilst touring the web I came upon this post, and realized that we had made an impression on her singing career. Congratulation TJ!! CLICK ME

Strangely, it seems, many great jump and swing musicians are named Lou. There’s Louis Jordan, Louis Armstrong, and Louis Prima for example. Upon further contemplation, there are many other notable Lou’s. Lou Alcinder, Lou Gosset, Al Lewis, Louis Braille, Lou Costello, Lou Pasteur, Lou Carroll, Lou Ferrigno, Lou Gerrig, Lou Farrakan, and Lou Leakey. Now I probably have left out a few, but, it seems strange that this name is not more prevalent today, in light of this long list of greats. Makes ya think don’t it?

Tito Puente never heard anything like this. We have decided to take on some salsa material. Now don’t be alarmed, we would never be so vain as to think that we could sound like an eleventy-four horn section salsa band. We do think we can put a unique spin on some of the older percussion infected material from our friends south of the border. Salswing anyone?
